Dear Mr. Knight: My wife and I love to hike. We are thinking of going to Ruidoso, NM in September or October. A couple of questions: Is Ruidoso a place where we would likely ancounter a snake while hiking, and,at what elevation in Ruidoso can one be sure no snakes inhabit? As you have probably detected by now, we both have a significant "snake phobia." Thank you, Don Ennis
